Regional Chennai, Aug 19. (PTI, UNI): Swami Satchidananda (88), spiritual leader of Tamil film superstar Rajnikanth, died at the Sri Ramachandra Medical College hospital here today. The Swamiji was admitted to the hospital on August 14 following chest pain. The end came this morning. He had flown down to Chennai on August 14 to participate in the special screening of Rajni's film 'Baba'. During the preview show of the film at the Satyam theatre here on August 14, the Swamiji fell unconscious following which he was admitted to the hospital, where his condition worsened and he breathed his last early today. Rajnikanth and his wife paid homage to the Swamiji at the hospital. Accompanied by Rajinikanth, his body is being flown to US for funeral. As per his wishes, the body is being flown to the Virginia Ashram of Swamiji via Mumbai.
